4. Computer Skills.
Students will be responsible for having or obtaining basic
computer skills including e-mail, Web surfing, and word processing. Higher
level skillswill beexpected formany courses.
Clayton State will make training opportunities in basic computer skills
available to students for noadditional cost.
Through a variety of means including free workshops, fee-based
workshops, for-credit computer courses, and modules in courses,
Clayton Statewill make training opportunities available in the computer
skills necessary for the student’s chosen program.
Clayton State will provide a computer help desk (the HUB). The HUB
will assist students with software problems. The HUB will assist with
hardware problems only if the machines are under warranty and the
HUB is certified by the vendor to service thosemachines.
Choosing aDegreeProgramandMajor
(Programof Study)
Clayton State offers several types of degree programs and certificates.
Each of thesedegreeprogramsencompasses a varietyofmajors, or programs of
study. Majors leading to particular degrees are listed below.

Master degrees:
The School of Graduate Studies offers eleven programs of
study: TheMaster of Archival Study (MAS); TheMaster of Arts in Liberal Studies
(MALS) with concentrations in English, Criminology, History, Political Science,
and Liberal Arts; The Master of Business Administration (MBA) with
concentrations in Supply Chain Management, International Business, and
Accounting; TheMaster of Health Administration (MHA); TheMaster of Science
in Nursing (MSN) with concentrations in Leadership and Education; TheMaster
of Arts in Teaching English (MAT); TheMaster of Arts in TeachingMathematics
(MAT); The Master of Arts in Teaching Biology (MAT); The Master of Arts in
Teaching History (MAT); The Master of Science in Psychology (MSP) with
concentrations in AppliedDevelopmental andClinical Psychology and the online
Master of Educationwithamajor inTeacher Leadership (MED).
Baccalaureate degrees:
Depending on the major of the graduate, the
baccalaureate degree will be a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Bachelor of Science
(B.S.), Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor of Science in
Nursing (B.S.N.), Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene (B.S.D.H.), Bachelor of
Music (B.M.), Bachelor of InformationTechnology (B.I.T.), Bachelor of Science in
Information Technology (B.S.I.T.), or a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.S.).
Baccalaureates take four years of full-time study or longer for part-time
enrollment.
Associate degrees:
An Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Integrative Studies
and three Associate of Science (A.S.) degrees in Integrative Studies, Pre-
Engineering, and Pre-Pharmacy are offered. The A.S. in Pre-Engineering is
designed for transfer to the Georgia Institute of Technology or other university
