Guidelines for theCoreCurriculum areestablished by theUniversitySystem
of Georgia in order to ensure a solid general education foundation for all
graduates. Courses taken within theCore are guaranteed to transfer within the
UniversitySystem inaccordancewith guidelines. Toa great extent, AreasA-Eof
the Core are “major free,” meaning that they will apply regardless of major;
however, certain majors do have specific mathematics, science, and other
requirements inAreasA-E. All baccalaureatedegreegraduates and all A.A. and
A.S. degree graduates must complete Areas A-F of the Core Curriculum, as
