TheOffice of Academic and Career Advisement is responsible for assisting
students with the development of an academic program, career plan, and
academic success strategies. The office exists to provide advisement to ensure
that studentsmeet graduation requirements in a timely fashion and are informed
of theprogramand services available to them at ClaytonState (678) 466-4500.
HONORSOCIETIESANDCLUBS
Among the honor societies, clubs, and service organizations designed to
support, augment, and supplement the educational and professional
development of Business students are the Accounting Club, Georgia Society of
CPA, Financial Executives International, Financial Management Association, The
JonathanHowardMarketingClub, Society for theAdvancement of Management,
andBetaGammaSigma.
ADMISSIONANDREADMISSIONREQUIREMENTS
Students intending to enroll in the BBA program must meet all University
admission and academic requirements. In addition, applicants must satisfy the
followingadditional requirements inorder to beadmitted to theBBA program:
a. Havean overall and institutional GradePoint Average (GPA) of 2.00.
b. Be in goodAcademicStandingat ClaytonStateUniversity
c. Earn36 semester credit hours.
d. Complete ACCT 2010 and ECON 2105 courses with grades of
C
or
better.
Students who plan to enroll in a BBAmajor (Accounting, General Business,
Management, Marketing, or Supply Chain Management) will be admitted to
Clayton State University as pre-business majors. Upon satisfying the
aforementioned requirements, students are required to apply for admission to the
College of Business. The application can be submitted online at

A studentmay repeat courses that werenot satisfactorily completed and that
disqualified him or her from admission subject to the University’s course repeat
policy. If a student elects to repeat such courses and receives grades that meet
theabove criteria, the studentmay reapply for admission to theBBA program.
COLLEGE-SPECIFICACADEMICREQUIREMENTS
Students in a BBA major must meet all University admission, academic
progression, and graduation requirements (see the Graduation Requirements
section). In addition, the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) has the
followingprogram-specific requirements:
1. Mathematics Requirement.
Along with Area A2 core curriculum Math
requirements, BBA students must complete MATH 1231, Introduction to
Statistics, and MATH 1241, Survey of Calculus. Most students will use
