“Some days it still feels unreal. It’s a blessing. To see all the hard work and dedication my teammates and I went through to pay off was a thing of beauty. It’s been an experience that I’ve always dreamed of, and I just thank God that He brought together me and those 12 other girls to accomplish something so big and to make history,” says Peach Belt
Conference Defensive Player of the Year Tanisha “Smoove” Woodard, about the Lakers’ 2010/2011 national championship.
Woodard is the epitome of gratitude and teamwork. Never giving pause, she credits her family and team for support over the years, support that began very early on.
