faculty advisor of “The Bent Tree” while Rob served as faculty advisor for 14 years (and even Bo was the advisor one year). Editors and staff members of “The Bent Tree” have gone on to write for the “AJC” and other papers and into broadcast journalism. Art Rogers, WSB-TV director of programming, was editor of “The Bent Tree” in 1978 and the 1977 editor, Cindy Glozier, went on to become a senior producer at Court TV. Former staffers now work at WAGA-TV and other broadcast outlets.
Some fads that were memorable were bomb scares (we had three in the 70’s and Rob had to clear the lockers in the Student Center every time) and streaking by a few students. The most memorable streaking incident was the husband of an SGA officer who streaked on a mo-
torcycle. Another

between two doors
in the lower level of
the Student Center
and drove a VW
Beetle into the hallway. All part of a day (albeit a very long day) in student life.
