You’ve Got Mail
This past year, University Housing and Residence Life improved mail services using a new cloud-based technology called Notifii. The program receives and catalogs packages; does inventory and picture-identification; and emails the residents when they have mail.
The new system has reduced lost mail to zero. For student staff, it’s much easier to manage an average of 400 packages each month (except during the refund months, when package deliveries double), making it faster to receive, process and secure the daily deliveries.
Residents love the new service because they receive automated friendly reminders to stop by the University Housing Office to retrieve mail with their ID. When they pick up their package, the system concludes the transaction with a thank you note.
