s we move forward, it is essential to recog-
nize the role that you have in raising aware-
ness and reshaping perceptions of Clayton State
University.
“Dreams. Made Real.” is about the promise
the University makes to its students, faculty, staff,
alumni, and friends and its ability to uphold that
promise.
Far more than simply a tool for recruiting stu-
dents, “Dreams. Made Real.” tells the story of
who we are as a University in a powerful way that
ultimately will resonate with a variety of audi-
ences.
“Dreams. Made Real.” is built upon who we
are – the attributes and strengths that truly char-
acterize Clayton State University and something
the entire University can stand behind. It is a vital
part of the University’s mission and vision on a
strategic level.
By sending a clear message that Clayton
State University is “Dreams. Made Real.” our abil-
ity to attract first-tier faculty and high-performing
students is enhanced. This message can posi-
tion Clayton State to capitalize on wonderful
things, weather crises more confidently, and dis-
pel negative misperceptions.
And, more than anything, this message can
foster a sense of pride among students, faculty,
staff, alumni, and the Morrow and greater Atlanta
communities.
As described by one administrator, “This is
a place where we build things,” such as relation-
ships, futures, expectations, and skills, among
many other things.
