Athletic Department Walks for Zac Bradley
The Loch Shop Adds Clayton State Alum
As Customer Service & Marketing Supervisor
The Clayton State University Athletic
Department turned out once again on
Saturday, May 19 to support a fellow
Laker, Zac Bradley.
In November 2011, a full week of events,
including a blood drive, a gospel concert
and a Clayton State basketball double-
header, were held as part of Zac Bradley
Benefit Week. Each event was held raise
awareness for the transfusion needs of
critically injured people and to raise
money for Help Hope Live in honor of
Bradley, a native of Riverdale, Ga., and a
former prep standout at North Clayton
High School., who is now confined to a
wheelchair after a fluke traffic accident.
On May 19, the ”Walk for ZAC,” a com-
munity walk and rally beginning at North
Clayton High School and continuing
down Highway 314 to Flat Shoals Park,
was held by Help Hope Live to salute
“hometown " athletes from the counties of
Clayton, South Fulton and Fayette. All
donations were sent directly to Help Hope
Live, a Radnor, Pa.-based nonprofit organi-
zation (www.helphopelive.org) that has
been assisting with the catastrophically
injured community for more than 10 years.
Turning out on Saturday to support
Bradley was enough talent to put together
pretty good basketball team, along with
coaches, a trainer and even administrative
support.
Bradley played for Clayton State in the
2010/2011 season as a freshman, helping
pace the Lakers to a 19-10 mark. He was
leaving the Clayton State campus on May
25, 2011, when, during a terrible storm, a
tree fell on his car.
Bradley was transported to Grady
Memorial Hospital, where he underwent
multiple surgeries on his brain, neck and
spinal cord. He spent the summer of 2011
in rehabilitation at the Shepherd Center in
Atlanta, before coming home in the fall.

There’s a new face at The Loch Shop at
Clayton State University, and, no, it’s not
Loch, although, like Loch this person has
been around Clayton State before.
Loch Shop Manager Todd Smith has
announced the hiring of Clayton State
alumnus Jeanette Taylor as The Loch
Shop’s customer service & marketing
supervisor.
A native of San Jose, Ca., and a current
resident of Atlanta, Taylor is a 2008
graduate from the College of Business at
Clayton State, with a B.B.A. in marketing.
Prior to joining The Loch Shop staff on
May 1, she worked in client relations for
Get Married Media.
“It’s great to come full circle at Clayton
State – first as a student and now as an
employee,” says Taylor. “It’s wonderful to
see all of the enhancements The Loch
Shop has made since I was a student – the
design of the store is beautiful, you are
offered a large variety of merchandise
outside of textbooks and as always, the
people are genuinely interested in you
and your success as a student.
“As an employee with The Loch Shop,
I look forward to help making The
Loch Shop not only the place to get
your textbooks but into the place to
`be.’”
