We DREAM of GENE-Y
GENE-Y is Clayton State’s name for the quantitative PCR (q-PCR) system that will revolutionize research projects and laboratory curriculum at Clayton State. This system will allow students and faculty to study gene activity in real time, which is critical in understanding how genes respond to toxins, drugs and other medicines; how genes behave in different types of cancers, bacteria, and in stem cells; and even the importance of genes within ecosystems. GENE-Y is very powerful, and we need your help to bring this state-of-the-art science equipment to Clayton State’s new Science Building.
