Christian Bowen (B.A. Communication and Media Stud- ies 2007) is a professional video producer and editor. In 2012, he filmed and edited a web series for Dr. Sherry, a WE Television reality show celeb, and the Braxton Family Val- ues show, including an appearance at the Essence Music Fes- tival in New Orleans. Christian produced “Losing Your Bite?” a 13-minute long documentary that features the Clay- ton State Department of Dental Hygiene’s 2008 Service Learning Program. If you follow the University Relations’ YouTube channel (ClaytonSTNews), many videos are his work. His first paid gig was for a competition to win free rent for a year; a student paid him $60 to film his “Clayton Place Experience” and won with Christian’s video. Brittany Lewis (B.S.N.), of Lo- ganville, GA, is currently working as a labor and delivery nurse at a local hospital and was married in Septem- ber.
Ana Torres Brower (B.S. Psychol- ogy), of Grantville, GA, celebrated her 15 year anniversary with Delta Airlines in March, where she cur- rently holds the position of Sr. Inven- tory Analyst. Also, while working full-time, she completed a three-year master’s program in social work at Georgia State University. She gradu- ated suma cum laude, was inducted into the Omicron Gamma Chapter of the Phi Alpha Honor Society and cho- sen as the outstanding part-time social work student for the spring 2012 se- mester.
2009
Nancy Capponi (B.S.N., M.S.N), of Oxford, GA, is a clinical instructor within Clayton State’s School of Nursing and began full-time in 2010.
William Bradley McKibben (B.S. Psychology & Human Services), of Griffin, GA, received his master’s de- gree in community counseling from North Georgia College & State Uni- versity earlier this year. He was also awarded the program’s Most Out- standing Graduate Student for 2012.
He was accepted into the doctoral pro- gram of Counseling and Counselor Education at the University of North Carolina Greensboro where he was of- fered a three-year assistantship and has been elected president-elect of the Upsilon Nu Chi chapter of Chi Sigma Iota, an honor society of professional counseling. He will begin work on his doctorate degree this fall and hopes to earn his Ph.D. and become a professor of mental health counseling.

Terrell Dark (B.S. Criminal Jus- tice), of Snellville, GA, is the proud father of a two-year old son and cur- rently a second-year law student at the University of Kansas School of Law.
Sibongile B. Lynch (B.A. English), of Jonesboro, GA, recently received a Master of Arts in Literary Studies from Georgia State University, and is pursuing a Master of Science in Infor- mation Design and Communication at Southern Polytechnic State University this fall. Her short story Pass Me Not
will be featured this fall in the upcom- ing anthology But, Yet, Still by Plenary Publishing. She has worked as a pro- gram specialist with the USDA Food and Nutrition Service since May 2010.
Daphne Michelle Shaw (A.A.S. Paralegal Studies, B.A.S. Adminis- trative Management) graduated with her Juris Doctor degree from Florida Coastal School of Law in May 2012 with honors. She took the Florida Bar in July 2012 and will take the Georgia Bar in February 2013.

Brandon D. Bethea (B.B.A. Ac- counting), of Roswell, GA, was re- cently promoted to Accountant 3 for Georgia Department of Community Health in Atlanta. He plans to pursue a master’s degree in information sys- tems audit and control this fall.
Augurie E. Herring (B.S. Sociol- ogy), of Snellville, GA, recently grad- uated magna cum laude with a master’s degree in adult education and development from Strayer University. He is currently a candidate for the Ph.D. program in curriculum and teaching at North Central University in AZ. Herring thanks Clayton State for its strong curriculum and the sup- port it provides students.
Nina Maimone-Cruz (B.S. Psychol- ogy & Human Services), of Forest Park, GA, has experienced three major events since her graduation from Clayton State. She got married, began working on her master’s degree in professional counseling, and landed a job as a coordinator for an after school program.
Dale Myers (M.B.A. Supply Chain & Logistics), of Riverdale, GA, has returned to his entrepreneurial roots after six years of teaching physics, chemistry and biology at the high school and collegiate level. He launched two separate ventures, Vi- sion Shaper Consulting, which spe- cializes in startups, new product launch and music business strategy and Advanced Proficient Learning, which offers tutoring, enrichment and multimedia products that propel stu- dent achievement in math and science.
Stephen Odom (B.A. Music), of Stockbridge, GA, has been hired as part of the performance company at Sight and Sound Theatre in Branson, MO, the largest Christian-themed the- atre company in the nation.
Julie A. Pate (B.A. Middle Grades Education), of Conyers, GA, is cur- rently working as a paraprofessional in a self-contained MOID (Moder- ately Intellectually Disabled) class with Rockdale County Public Schools at Pine Street Elementary. She is pur- suing her master’s degree in education with an emphasis in special education from Walden University. She has maintained a 4.0 GPA and expects to graduate this spring. Pate and her hus- band of 18 years have two wonderful boys.
