Do you then mention the recent his- tory of Laker basketball, that is, the two previous Elite Eight teams that Cox led in the 2006/2007 and 2008/2009 sea- sons?
Or perhaps you approach the championships season by focusing on the turning point, because, even a 35-1 season has a turning point. According to Cox, it was the “1” loss, and not the “35” wins that provided the turning point.
Going into the Peach Belt Confer- ence Tournament, the Lakers were the hottest team in the nation... 28 straight wins, almost all of them by double digits, and the number one ranking nationally.
