*****
Clayton State University Assistant
Professor of Management Dr. Leon Prieto
is the co-author of an editorial published
recently in Diverse: Issues in Higher
Education. Entitled “Social Entrepreneur
Development: Unleashing the Potential of
African-American
and
Hispanic
Undergraduate Students,” the article
appears on page 23 and at
http://mydigimag.rrd.com/publication/?i=
161229 on the web. Among other points,
the article offers three tips that universi-
ties can implement to help minority
undergraduates become social entrepre-
neurs: offer classes in social entrepreneur-
ship; assess, challenge and support; and
provide access to professional and social
networks. Prieto co-authored the editorial
with Dr. Simone T. A. Phipps, assistant
professor of management at Middle

President Barack Obama on Wednesday,
June 5. “I think I was invited due to my
work with advocacy, and my connection
with Georgia Association of International
Education. The President spoke for about
10 minutes. The call was about the need to
get immigration reform through Congress
this summer and to keep pressure on
Congress to do something, despite power-
ful groups and individuals bent on keep-
ing the status quo.” says Reichert.
