A pair of trips to Clemson and one to
Virginia Tech is in store for the Clayton
State Laker men’s and women’s track and
field teams this indoor season, as well as
four area meets during the outdoor season
as both Laker squads begin preparing for
the 2012 season. The indoor season began
on Dec. 3 with the Orange and Purple

will return to Clemson again on Feb. 10

the next weekend, the Lakers will com-
pete in the Virginia Tech Challenge in
Blacksburg, Va. The other indoor meet is
the D-II Team Challenge at Lake Erie in
Geneva, Ohio on Feb. 4.

copy of DeKalb Medical Center's maga-

University Relations Launches Redesigned News Site
The Clayton State University Office of
University Relations has launched its
newly redesigned news site, The Laker
Newsroom (www.clayton.edu/news).
The new site’s landing page offers news
briefs, fast facts, links to campus publica-
tions, a calendar, links to official Clayton
State University social media sites, con-
tact information, and other links useful to
internal and external audiences.
The redesign will help the campus and
community quickly find the latest Clayton
State news and be able to better stay con-
nected to the University through a variety
of interactive content.
The news brief section will update fre-
quently and previously posted stories will
be moved into a searchable archive.
Visitors to the site will be greeted by a
campus photo and main feature story,
which will also be regularly updated.

“Campus Review” and “The Laker
Connection” magazine will also be reach-
able from The Laker Newsroom and are
now presented in a more interactive flip-
ping page format.
External audiences, such as the media,
will find the new Media Relations tab
convenient for locating experts, making
campus contacts, understanding graphic
identity standards, contact information for
Spivey Hall and our Athletics
Department, and much more.
The campus and community can under-
stand more about the University and the
function of University Relations through the
“About Us” tab, where general information
about Clayton State and University
Relations’ staff profiles are housed.
On the social media front, The Laker
Newsroom’s “Follow Us” section has
links to University Relations’ maintained
Facebook, Twitter, You Tube, FourSquare
and Flickr accounts. There is also a link to
a list of official departmental and student
organization-run social media accounts.
In addition to the unveiling of The Laker
Newsroom, University Relations is also
launching its new Flickr account with a
